About the Audi R8 V10 RWS (Rear Wheel Series)
Adding another chapter to the rich legacy of the Audi R8, the new Audi R8 V10 RWS (Rear Wheel Series) marks the first time that this storied model will be available with pure rear-wheel drive. Limited to just 999 units worldwide, the R8 V10 RWS is hand-built under the management of Audi Sport GmbH where up to 500 highly-qualified employees work at a 32,000 square foot production site. It also marks the first vehicle from Audi Sport which is equipped with rear-wheel drive.
Foregoing the iconic quattro all-wheel drive system in favor of rear-drive has allowed the R8 V10 RWS to shave 110.2 pounds off of its curb weight. The result is even more blistering performance from its standard 540 horsepower mid-mounted V10 engine. Not only is this V10 one of the final naturally-aspirated engines left in its segment, it's also derived from Audi racing variants with only minimal adjustments made for regulation compliance. Striking design elements and a track-focused interior help illustrate how the Audi R8 V10 RWS is truly a remarkable culmination of race-inspired performance.

Track-Bred Performance
An extremely low installation position of the engine, its compact construction, and the use of a dry sump lubrication system combine to give the standard V10 engine its legendary reputation. It delivers immediate response while also being systematically structured for high speeds. Behind the engine sits a 7-speed S tronic automatic transmission which includes a Launch Control Program to modulate the clutch engagement and limit wheel slip. A standard Audi drive select system allows drivers to tailor the driving dynamics of the R8 V10 RWS to suit their preferences or to match the road conditions. Internally ventilated and perforated, massive steel brake discs feature wave contours to reduce weight and manage heat distribution. The Audi R8 V10 RWS has the ability to rocket from 0 to 60 MPH in just 3.7 seconds on its way to a top track speed of 199 MPH.
Streamlined Interior
Thanks to its lightweight construction, the interior of the Audi R8 V10 RWS is reflected in a streamlined style. A unique "1 of 999" dash badge indicates the limited quantity of new Audi R8 V10 RWS vehicles available worldwide. Both driver and passenger sit low in sport seats trimmed in leather and Alcantara. Different variants fine Nappa leather are available including dynamic diamond stitching in a variety of colors and trims.
A 12.3-inch TFT monitor houses the Audi virtual cockpit offers complex calculations and information presented in high-resolution graphics. Choose from Infotainment, Classic, and even a Performance view designed specifically for use on the track. The Performance mode includes central rev counter, shift indicator, g-meter, and even a lap counter. You'll also have the ability to monitor the status of critical technical components such as tire temperature, engine oil temperature, transmission temperature, and tire pressure.
