The first competitor up against the Audi Q6 e-tron is the Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV. And the first thing to be said about the new Mercedes all-electric SUV is that it's quite expensive. How expensive? Well, we're comparing it to the highest trim level of the Q6 e-tron - the Prestige trim - just so the two electric SUVs are in the same price neighborhood. Unfortunately for the Mercedes-Benz, the same neighborhood for price is not the same neighborhood for power. The EQE 350+ comes with significantly less horsepower than the Q6 e-tron, and this shows in the 0-60 time. It's pretty clear which one would be better for merging with highway traffic. The difference in range isn't huge, but given how much more the EQE costs, and how little power it has, it is a bit surprising that the Audi wins for range as well. And on the subject of batteries, the EQE has a pretty average fast changing time, and when compared to most EVs, the difference in charging time would be negligible at most. But as we mentioned, the Q6 e-tron is the newest, most-advanced model in the e-tron line-up, and as a result - it charges a lot quicker than the Mercedes.
Not every manufacturer has figured out how to make an electric vehicle with a good towing capacity, but of these two, at least Audi has. Additionally, the Q6 e-tron has more interior cargo space, and is better equipped inside as well. The EQE has what would be considered a decent stereo if we were comparing it to most SUVs, but the true audiophile will certainly pick the audio system in the Q6 e-tron over it. Lastly, the Mercedes-Benz EQE comes standard with a synthetic leather upholstery - meaning you'll need to pay even more for real leather seating surfaces, which come standard on the Audi.
Audi Q6 e-tron VS BMW iX

The next competitor is the BMW iX, and once again, there's a pretty big price difference, even more than there was with the EQE. It's worth noting that the Q6 e-tron starts at $63,800, so the starting MSRP is even bigger than it looks in this comparison where we once again used the top trim for this comparison. That additional money does get you a bit more horsepower in the BMW, but it still falls short in maximum range, and the inability to be used for towing.
With a look at the standard equipment, we can see again how poorly equipped the Q6 e-tron's competitors are. The stereo continues to be a clear win for the Audi, and it's the same case with the upholstery. BMW is notoriously stingy with heated seats, so it's no surprise that they'll make you pay a little extra if you want heated rear seats. Both vehicles offer advanced tech features like an augmented reality head-up display, surround view, and adaptive cruise control, the difference is that they'll cost you even more money in the BMW.
