Q6 e-tron About

About the Audi Q6 e-tron

The Audi EV lineup has been growing quickly, but the newest model isn't just a midsize electric SUV, it's one of the most advanced vehicles on the road today. The Q6 e-tron features an all-electric drivetrain that is capable of delivering exhilarating performance without sacrificing range, while also speeding charging times. Advanced tech is found throughout the rest of the vehicle as well, and that means the Q6 e-tron excels at comfort and safety too. Of course, the more traditional qualities that make an excellent vehicle are here too, like comfortable seating for five, excellent cargo space, and a top-end stereo. The Q6 e-tron is the first in a new generation of Audi electric vehicles, a more advanced and more usable kind of vehicle.

What the Critics Say

"It's the car's comfort where it's most impressive, though. In its brand presentations and press releases, Audi talks a lot about how dynamic the Q6 is. There's a newly designed front axle with the control arms located in front of the suspension arms for the first time ever in an Audi. The steering rack is now connected directly to the subframe, designed to make the car more agile. And a new passive damping system allows the car to better grip the road." - Wired

"We're also very pleased with how calm and quiet the Q6's cabin is. Luxury EVs should be the quietest vehicles on the road and the Q6 really excels in this department. Only at full highway speeds does any major noise from the road or the wind intrude inside, and even then it's very manageable." - Edmunds

What's New for 2027

The Q6 e-tron is still quite a new model, but there have been a couple of tweaks for 2027. The first is that Audi has dropped the single-motor drivetrain from the lineup, lowered the price of the dual-motor drivetrain, and given it a range bump to 325 miles, as it is now the only option. The second change has been to swap out the steering wheel for one with physical scroll wheels.

Audi Q6 e-tron Features

Q6 e-tron Drivetrain

Advanced Drivetrain

Audi developed the Q6 e-tron in partnership with Porsche, and the same platform that underpins the Q6 e-tron, is also used to build the Porsche Macan Electric. This is the second EV that Audi has partnered with Porsche to build, with the first being the e-tron GT super sedan, which shares its platform with the Porsche Taycan. The Q6 e-tron features the same industry-leading 800-volt architecture as the e-tron GT, but in a more practical everyday package.

The drivetrain is a dual-motor configuration that produces a combined 422 horsepower, or 456 horsepower with Launch Control engaged. The result is a 4.9-second 0-60 time, which is blisteringly quick for a midsize SUV. All-wheel drive is standard, and the maximum range is rated at 325 miles. The 800-volt architecture is also noteworthy for offering the fastest charging in the industry, with the ability to charge from 10% to 80% at a public DC fast charging station taking just 21 minutes, easily half the time it takes other EVs The 800-volt architecture is also noteworthy for offering the fastest charging in the industry, with the ability to charge from 10% to 80% at a public DC fast charging station taking just 22 minutes, easily half the time it takes other EVs.

Q6 e-tron Interior

Luxury Interior

As impressive as the drivetrain is in the Q6 e-tron, it's usually the interior that gets the most attention, and it's easy to see why. The Q6 e-tron comes well equipped with premium materials and luxury features. It's also spacious, being similar in size to the conventional Q5, but with more space, especially legroom. It comes with 60 cubic feet of cargo space with the back seats folded down, and the front cargo compartment gives you a bit more space when you need it. During the day, the available panoramic sunroof lets in natural light and gives the interior an open feel, and at night, the standard LED ambient lighting helps you better see the controls. There is available air suspension for an unbeatably smooth ride over any surface. The cabin is exceptionally quiet, and in the luxury EV segment, it's not easy to be a standout for a quiet cabin. But you'll certainly appreciate the lack of outside noise if you choose the available 830-watt Bang & Olufsen® sound system with 3D sound - delivering a concert hall experience for you and all your passengers.

Audi Q6 e-tron Head-Up Display

Cutting-Edge Technology

It should come as no surprise that advanced technology can be found throughout the Q6 e-tron, and not just in new the drivetrain. Some of this will be familiar, including safety features like traffic sign recognition or adaptive cruise control. But for some tech features, Audi has taken proven tech and improved on it. For example, the head-up display is a next-generation augmented reality unit, with a wider field of view and higher definition display than more "traditional" units when displaying real-time vehicle and media information. And while most EVs give you the option to precondition the cabin to a more comfortable temperature before you get in, the Q6 e-tron adds a feature to let you specifically heat the glass, saving you time clearing away ice and snow during especially nasty weather.
